Strip names, amounts, dates, and other sensitive details out of a document before it ever leaves your machine — entirely offline, fully reversible when you need it back.

Pasting a contract, a spreadsheet, or a report into an AI assistant for help almost always means pasting real names, account numbers, and dollar amounts along with it.
DocAnonymizer detects and replaces that information with consistent placeholders — person1, amount1, org1 — entirely on your device, before any of it reaches a cloud service. When you're ready, the same document can be de-anonymized back to the original text using an encrypted local mapping, so nothing gets lost in translation.
DocAnonymizer is a Windows app that finds personally identifiable and sensitive information in a document — names, places, organizations, dollar amounts, percentages, dates, phone numbers, emails, and Social Security numbers — and replaces each one with a consistent, numbered placeholder. Detection runs entirely offline, combining a local named-entity-recognition model with pattern matching, so your actual document contents never have to leave your device just to get it anonymized.
It also plugs directly into Claude Desktop as an MCP connector: anonymize a file, work with Claude on the sanitized version, then reverse it back to the real text locally when you're done — without the real content ever becoming part of the conversation.
Names, places, organizations, amounts, percentages, dates, phone numbers, emails, and SSNs — detected locally, with no document content sent anywhere to find them.
Every placeholder maps back to the original text through an encrypted local mapping — de-anonymize a document any time, on the same device.
Anonymize a file, hand it to Claude for help, and reverse it back afterward — the sensitive version never becomes part of the conversation.
Turn categories on or off before committing — redact dollar amounts and SSNs but leave dates alone, or any combination you need.
Detection, anonymization, and the reversal mapping all stay local. No account required to use the core app, no document uploads, ever.
Every placeholder is tagged to the document it came from, so a stray person1 quoted out of context can always be traced back to its source.
DocAnonymizer is built for anyone who needs to share or process a document without exposing what's in it:
All plans are subscriptions billed monthly. Prices below are placeholders.

DocAnonymizer's detection and anonymization run entirely on your device. A document's real contents are never uploaded anywhere to be anonymized. When used with Claude Desktop, only the already-anonymized text ever becomes part of a conversation — reversing it back to the original happens locally, and the reversed result is written to a file rather than sent anywhere.
